Confluent Photonics' DWDM products for outside plant are built to work in harsh environmental conditions — extreme temperature and atmospheric pressure variations, dust and rain. We carefully test every unit we ship and stand behind the quality and performance of our products.

To prove the reliability of our devices, we installed an SMD-20-200 Strand-Mount Mux/Demux on the roof of our building for a long-term performance test. The unique diffraction grating technology enables our unit to work flawlessly in the harsh New England winters and in the hottest summers. We continuously monitor and log insertion loss and center wavelength variations as well as environmental conditions.
