Jim Beattie VP of Operations

Jim has been involved in the development and manufacture of passive optical systems for the last 18 years. At Lockheed Sanders he designed and built various infrared and visible laser systems. Jim was a member of the initial development team at Optical Corporation of America (OCA, which was later acquired by Corning) that marketed the first commercially available thin-film filter-based DWDM devices. He subsequently held the positions of Manger of Operations and Manager of Product Development at Corning OCA, where he was responsible for fiber optic products manufacturing and new product introduction. At Lightchip, Jim has held the positions of Director of Optical Product Development and Director of Product Engineering.
